Christian says 69,204 Maps-scraped laundromats booked 53 meetings

The pitch is that owner-operated local businesses are not in the usual databases, so the list has to come from the map.

Christian says his team scraped 69,204 laundromat owners off Google Maps for a single client and booked 53 meetings in 50 days.

The reason for going to Maps instead of the usual sources is coverage. In his post, Christian claims LinkedIn and Apollo miss around 90% of that market because the owners run their whole business without a LinkedIn profile. For this kind of target, the storefront listing is the record that exists, and the contact database is not.

He frames the niche through Codie Sanchez, who he says got rich buying boring local businesses, with laundromats her favourite because about 95% are still running five years after opening. That is the buying argument for the client, not a deliverability argument, but it is the reason a list of 69,204 owners is worth building at all.

What the process looks like

Christian says he wrote out the full method and lists the steps as pulling the raw list zip by zip, finding the owner off their own site, running an email waterfall to roughly 90% coverage, writing to a local owner, and calling the list. The zip by zip detail matters because Maps scraping is bounded by the map view, so a national list is assembled from a lot of small pulls rather than one query. The waterfall is the usual stack of enrichment providers run in sequence until one returns an address, and Christian puts the coverage it reached at about 90%.

For people sending

The 90% miss rate on LinkedIn and Apollo is Christian's own estimate for this market, not a measured figure he published, and the 53 meetings come from one client over one 50-day window. The play also only holds where it was run, meaning owner-operated local businesses with a physical listing. A software buyer with a filled-out LinkedIn profile is already in Apollo, and scraping Maps for them buys you nothing.

What is portable is the sequencing. Christian does not stop at email on this list, he calls it, which is consistent with how he has described working owner-heavy local lists before.
