Rahman says branded cup campaign returned 4,313 leads

The targeting was built around a buyer who overpays and waits too long for branded disposables, which opened four verticals beyond coffee shops.

Adam Rahman says a client that makes custom branded cups generated 4,313 qualified leads from an outbound system his team built, with leads routed from EmailBison into HubSpot through OutboundSync.

The interesting part is the targeting. The client's core business was coffee shop cups. Rahman says his team built the campaign around one buyer profile instead of one industry, described as a buyer who waits too long and pays too much for branded disposables and wants their brand on every cup that leaves the counter. That profile opened four more verticals, pizza restaurants, bakery chains, large religious organisations serving branded refreshments, and similar high volume venues.

The offer was a sample, not a meeting

Rahman says the team mined customer interviews for three pains, fulfillment times that run too long, minimum orders that are too high, and per unit pricing that is too expensive, then positioned the client as the fix for all three with success stories from shops in the same vertical. The call to action was a free branded cup sample, so the prospect saw their own logo on the product before any meeting was booked.

The inbox split again

The post also carries a sending number. Rahman says that across 174,282 sends, Google inboxes replied at 1.75% and Microsoft inboxes replied at 0.42%, same copy and same offers, a 4.2x gap he attributes entirely to the inbox. His team rebuilt the sending infrastructure to match where the buyers were. That matches the direction, though not the size, of what Illingworth reported earlier on Google to Microsoft replies.

List building started on Apollo. Rahman says about a year in the whole pipeline moved into Claude Code, which sources leads from Google, enriches, verifies and loads campaigns end to end. Every email clears a three step verification waterfall, LeadMagic then Prospeo then Icypeas, which he credits with keeping bounce rate down and domains healthy.

For people sending, treat the headline figure carefully. Qualified lead is Rahman's own label, with no meeting count, close rate or revenue number next to it, and the post ends in an invitation to book a call with him. The reusable part is cheaper than the number. A buyer profile defined by a problem rather than a SIC code will usually span more verticals than an industry list, and a physical sample as the ask removes the step where the prospect has to agree to a call before seeing anything. The Google versus Microsoft split is a second account pointing the same way, not yet a settled rate.
